Wow, I have to say I am not too sad to say good bye to 2012.? It has been one of the most difficult years I remember.? It was a year where I lost people extremely close to me, was taken by a dud accountant, had to start my personal training business from ground up again (due to moving countries), had to say good bye to amazing friends and clients and found myself living in a very unideal space.
It was a year in which I experienced extreme loneliness, deep sadness and at times despair.
Amongst the darkness that unfortunately spanned the entire year I do have many things to be grateful for.? I know that as dark as my year seemed there are always others that have endured so much more than I have.
I have been so incredibly lucky to have good friends and family members. Not all was lost. Things I accomplished and am grateful for in 2012:
1) Moving home to Canada and reconnecting with family and friends
I learned the hard way that sometimes friends we think are friends are actually more acquaintances. When you truly need them they aren?t there. Coming home I have reconnected with family and old friends, I am so grateful for the opportunity as 11 years away is a long time.
2) Being in the best shape of my life
This year I completely embraced the primal diet, training with kettlebells regularly and focusing on lifestyle factors important for health. Experiencing these results has inspired me to support and teach others as much as I can. Our health after all is the most important thing we have, not only for ourselves but those that care about us.
3) Completing my online 90 Day Challenge Program
This was 10 months in the making and many years as a dream beforehand.? I had always wanted to create a health and weightloss program that could help as many people as possible all around the world. A place where I could support people in their journey along the way. I didn?t just want to create a book where no one would hear from me again, I wanted it to be interactive.? There were many many moments in which I almost quit, in fact at one point I had.? It was difficult to put together as I had to learn how to create a membership site, how to create autoresponders, etc. These were things that finding help with was nearly impossible, there are simply too few people doing this.
Excited for 2013
The future is bright and I am so? excited for 2013. My focus? for 2013 are:
Appreciate the little things even more
Spend more time with people who are positive
Continue to embrace the primal diet and create and share more recipes online
Support the Rocofit Lifesytle ? 90 Day Program
Embrace more of an outdoor lifestyle
Keep writing for this website and sharing everything I learn regarding health and wellness.
What are you looking forward to in 2013? What kinds of things would you like to see more of on this site?
