We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self motivated candidate to join our team!
The Payroll Coordinator performs a wide variety of record keeping and payroll and benefits processing activities. The Payroll/Benefits Coordinator will provide support to department plant leadership to ensure the accuracy of preliminary and final payroll reports, time sheets, and funds distribution. This position will work to ensure weekly payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely, support leadership staff weekly with payroll submissions, assist with Benefits administration and monthly reconciliation, and provide excellent customer service to associates by responding to inquiries and requests in a friendly and timely manner.
Tasks Performed
- Reconcile weekly payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Reconcile medical, dental and life insurance deductions
- Process monthly benefit billings
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and??analyzing information
- Process all HR/payroll employee maintenance (new hires,??terminations, changes, etc)
- Prepare weekly reports for Payroll/HR review
- Audits and maintains associate garnishment files and correspond??with appropriate plaintiffs/agencies
- Reply to employment verifications in a timely manner
- Maintain all associate direct deposit information and??changes/updates to benefit information
- Verify Unemployment claims and process wage information for HR
- Address and respond to associate questions and??inquiries
- Maintain associate confidence and protects??payroll operations and personnel by keeping information confidential
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
Using office equipment, to include computer, telephone and calculator; standing and/or walking for a minimum of four hours; repetitive bending, reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting product weighing up to 25 pounds.

Other Qualifications
- Working knowledge of accounting and payroll??software packages
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, with proficiency?in Excel
- Basic accounting and math skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a time driven atmosphere and follow strict timelines
- Ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to work flexible schedules as needed to support production and/or holidays
- Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality if? employee information and all aspects of the job
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Vocational/Educational Requirements
- Desired Education- High School or GED
- Desired Job Experience- 1-2 years payroll experience, knowledge of benefits administration
